Every member of World Horizons is responsible for raising their own support unless otherwise stated.
Our heart is to see people from all nations reached for Jesus wherever they happen to be including in the UK. To do this we partner with local churches to set up international friendship ministries where people from many faiths and backgrounds come together to build community. Groups vary in the way they’re run but common themes are sharing culture, making friends, practising English and discussing faith. In addition to helping with groups we encourage volunteers to invest in meeting up with their international friends at other times for a meal or coffee and be the link to other church events.
People come to the UK for many different reasons – to study, seek asylum or settle here and find work. It’s been great to have friends from all over the world and it’s been a privilege to see people from different faiths and no faith background choosing to explore the Bible with us. We would like to see this ministry expand, both in Swansea and other areas of the UK.
If you have a passion for sharing your faith with people of different cultural backgrounds and faiths, you will find the opportunity here to build friendships and out of that share the gospel message in a relevant and loving way. If this inspires you, please get in touch! Read about what it means to join World Horizons here.
