Early Christianity blossomed in Turkey, yet today there are only a few thousand Turkish evangelical Christians in a population of nearly 80 million. Great opportunities exist to meet needs, create community and share God’s love with the Turkish people.
Historically, Turkey was one of the first Christian mission fields and was home to the seven churches mentioned in Revelation. Today, 98% of Turkish people consider themselves to be Muslim, therefore it is difficult for a Turk to follow Christ as it is seen as counter-cultural.
God is calling out to the people of Turkey to accept the peace and love that only comes from Him. Our team, based in the capital, Ankara, focuses on ministry training and church planting. They currently run a variety of projects, blessing both refugees and the local homeless population in their city.
