World Horizons workers aim to listen to God and give some of our best time and energy to prayer and worship. Our prayer days, prayer months and other special times devoted to prayer reflect this priority.

We want to see indigenous songs and other creative expressions of worship grow out of our prayer in the many cultures we live in. 'Ringing the Mediterranean' and 'Surrounding the Sahara' in prayer together with praying along the Silk Road and Isaiah 19:1 Highway (first walked by Abraham) continue to give direction to our prayers. Whilst we are not a monastic order we have much to learn from such early pioneers as the Celtic monks, the Moravians.

You are welcome to pray for our work around the world we can send you our newsletters (click here to sign-up) to keep you updated. Or perhaps you, your friends and family would like to get involved in praying with us.

The Mediterranean

As a movement we have set-up houses of prayer in various places over the years. Again our hearts are stirring to see houses of prayer established in the spiritually poor Mediterranean nations. We are partnering with Ffald-y-Brenin in a number of 'Trans Med' prayer and worship events. Please contact us for more information.

Silk Road Watch Towers

If you are a keen intercessor with a heart for the Silk Road we would love to meet you, please join us at one of our Step Weekends to hear how you can get involved or give us a call.

Global Journeys

Over the year we run many exciting prayer trips to the 'desert places' of the world, where some of the neediest, most neglected people live. Click here for more information

Church Events

We also hold prayer events at churches, exciting prayer for the world and encouraging individuals to pray God's kingdom into being. These are lively events, incorporating worship and testimonies from overseas. We do also have a heritage of Celtic prayer from our Welsh roots that is more meditative. Please contact us if you would like us to come and speak on prayer or lead a prayer event at your church.
