Five month training
10 July-20 December 2025
Built around community life, character development and in-depth teaching, World Horizons long-term training for mission is highly experiential.
Jesus came and told his disciples, ‘I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’
(NLT) Matt 28:18-20
Mission-Based Training
Rooted in both scripture and
real-world international experience, you will receive comprehensive training from knowledgeable mission workers. Topics covered include church planting, spiritual disciplines, applied theology, cultural adaptation, language learning, social justice and world religions.
Community-Based Training
Living communally encourages the development of strong friendships between trainees of many different nationalities, backgrounds and ages. Learning about cross-cultural relationships in such a practical way provides excellent preparation for life as part of a team anywhere in the world. In many cases these relationships continue long beyond the end of the training − giving each person a lifelong supporting network of friends around the world.
Travelling Training
Assisting teams across Europe brings hands-on experience and helps trainees to feel part of the World Horizons family.
The first month will include two weeks in South Wales, a week in London and a week in northern France. The following four months will be spent in the South of France and Spain.
