Grow in knowledge, experience and character
An intensive, residential ministry‑training program located in the Eastern Mediterranean, designed to equip both men and women for effective service among Muslim communities.
Three month training
September-November 2026
Every September, we welcome students from the Eastern Mediterranean, Central Asia, Europe, and North America to form a vibrant community. Together, we commit to a transformed way of living—one that empowers us to make a meaningful impact on the world around us.
Rich Heritage
Drawing on the rich heritage of the historic monastic communities in this region, we embrace a shared commitment to God and to one another. We seek to cultivate an environment where students grow in knowledge, deepen in experience, and mature in character.
Three Months to Grow–Three Months to Go
During the training, students receive classes on the Bible, theology, spiritual formation and discipleship, Islam, church history, and cross‑cultural ministry. A three‑month journey of formation, followed by an optional three‑month internship serving alongside teams throughout the Muslim world.
Community-Based Training
At the heart of our training is life together. We believe character is formed in community. As we share daily rhythms, we practice generosity, humility, forgiveness, reconciliation, vulnerability, sacrifice, and service—disciplines that shape us for a life of faithful ministry.
Location
Our community is based on an island in the Eastern Mediterranean, where training takes place at an eco‑tourism hotel and garden near the coast. It’s an ideal setting for shared life—close enough to larger towns to stay connected, yet quiet enough to offer a genuine place of retreat. Students live together and share a daily rhythm of prayer, work, and study
A Rhythm of Shared Life
Classes are held on the property, and work responsibilities take place in the garden or in our coffee‑roasting area. This shared rhythm forms the backdrop for learning, character development, and community.
Coffee Training
We have our own coffee roaster and espresso machine, giving students hands‑on experience with the world of coffee—from origins and brewing methods to espresso, filter coffee, Turkish coffee, and roasting. This training equips students with a practical skill that can help sustain them financially in ministry while also blessing the island community through our small business.
