I first came across World Horizons at University when the movement was just taking off, with lots of students praying big prayers and then setting off to put them into practice. However, it was not until twelve years later that I joined fulltime and that was in Asia, first in Singapore and then central China, and for the next sixteen years I was Asia-focused.
Then God put Europe on my heart, my own continent, that I had not thought much about for many years. I started exploring what exactly Europe is and what God is doing here and found myself drawn into a prayer network called Europeans United in Prayer. Ten years later I am now the leader.
We meet twice a year in a different European country to pray for that country, for Europe as a whole, and for the Jewish people. The group has been going since 2006 and has now met in over thirty countries. This gives us a good appreciation for the continent and a certain authority in praying for God’s work here.
Six months ago we met in Hungary, and just recently we were in Moldova, the little ex-Soviet country sandwiched between Romania and Ukraine. We partnered with several local churches and prayed together for four days. They led most of the worship, and I can tell you, the Moldovans knows how to worship! We also visited the parliament building and were given permission to pray in the main debating chamber.

So I am a Brit living in Germany, sent out by World Horizons UK and by my supporting church, a bit home-sick at times, but excited about what God is doing here. God has not finished with Europe! We believe secularism will not have the last word here. We are sensing there will be a powerful move of God in Europe, probably different to anything we have seen before, but sweeping 100 million Europeans into the Kingdom. Europe shall be saved!
